Middle School Head
San Francisco Friends School seeks an experienced and mission-aligned school leader to join our team as Middle School Head beginning in the summer of 2025. The Middle School Head reports to the Head of School, Pankti Sevak, serves as a member of the senior leadership team and the Academic Administrative Team, and leads and supports a talented, student-centered and dedicated Middle School faculty. An exceptional progressive classroom teacher and skilled and highly collaborative school leader in equal measure, the next Middle School Head will partner with faculty, school leadership, and parents and guardians to continue to develop an excellent and student-centered Middle School program consistent with Quaker practice and values. Director of Development
San Francisco Friends School seeks an experienced and mission-aligned fundraiser to serve as the school’s Director of Development. Reporting to the Head of School, the Director of Development will oversee all aspects of the school’s philanthropic programs. The Director of Development will lead a talented Development staff, partner with members of the senior leadership team on advancement initiatives, and work closely with the Board of Trustees, volunteers, and donors to advance the school’s goals via robust and inclusive fundraising. Middle School Math Teacher (2025-26 Academic Year)
San Francisco Friends School seeks an experienced Middle School math teacher who is compelled by the school’s mission and committed to progressive math education. Mathematics at Friends is an inquiry-based, conceptual, hands-on program where students grapple with problems and make meaning of the mathematics for themselves. We strive to build the capacity in students to think mathematically, solve problems with confidence, and love mathematics. Teachers are engaged in regular collaboration, curriculum development, and pedagogical reflection to offer the most meaningful, responsive, and student-centered program possible. Candidates should have a strong math background and be invested in collaborating with colleagues and working closely with students. K-8 EdTech, Science, and Design Coordinator
San Francisco Friends School seeks a creative and mission-aligned educator to develop and enhance the scientific, technological, and innovative experience for students and teachers at SFFS. A forward thinker, the person in this position will work collaboratively with academic leadership, faculty, and the school’s technology team to integrate educational technology and design thinking principles into the academic program, affording students additional opportunities to develop creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Substitute Teacher
We seek experienced educators compelled by the Friends School mission, which includes an exemplary education supported by a community dedicated to peaceful problem solving, service to others, simplicity, respect for the individual, and silent reflection. Substitute Teachers will serve students in all grades K through 8. Substitute Teachers will be asked to teach or support in various grades and subjects where needed.
