Lower School Counselor (Part Time)
We are seeking a part time Lower School Counselor (Kindergarten - 4th Grade) to play a central role in ensuring the health and wellness of the student community and to partner with parents and teachers in supporting students’ emotional well-being. At Friends, we seek culturally competent employees who will support and implement the school’s goal to “offer an academically rigorous program, rooted in a progressive approach, that is intellectually engaging, purposeful, and affirming of the spirit of each child.” The Counselor is a vocal and steady advocate for evidence-based practices and the inclusion of all students. They will commit to modeling cultural humility by mining resources, centering interventions that recognize the unique experiences of each child and family, and provide equitable access to resources. Afternoon/Evening Front Desk Receptionist 2024-2025
We are seeking a personable, organized and exceptionally reliable person to fill the role of part-time Afternoon/Evening Front Desk Receptionist. The position is a non-exempt position with approximate hours of 2 pm – 6 pm. Flexibility to work evenings and 1-2 Saturdays per month for school events required. The Receptionist will work with the entire school community and in close collaboration with the Operations Manager and Chief Financial and Operations Officer to serve as the first point of contact of the San Francisco Friends School. The role needs to be filled by a warm and approachable individual who, while helping students and directing parents, employees and visitors to their proper destination, will remain focused on the security and safety of the children and staff.
