Director of Admission 

We are seeking a Director of Admission to be responsible for stewarding the school’s values and mission, through enrollment, with a deep understanding of San Francisco Friends School's history and commitment to Quaker education. A key member of the school’s leadership team and reporting to the Head of School, the Director of Admission works in close partnership with a wide and varied range of groups within and outside of the school: administrators; the Associate Director of Admissions; parent/guardian volunteers; staff; faculty; preschool directors and educational access partners to attract, engage, recruit, enroll, and welcome mission-aligned students and families to the school. Assistant Director of Development 

We are seeking an Assistant Director of Development to oversee the day-to-day operations of the San Francisco Friends School development program with a focus on annual giving, stewardship, and information systems. This role involves fundraising, project management, and close collaboration with the Director of Development to achieve strategic goals. The Assistant Director of Development will help attend to the spirit and tone of the School’s unique focus on community participation while appreciating the overall development needs of the school. The Assistant Director of Development is a key member of the four-person development and communications office, and works closely with volunteers, Board members, alumni, and other faculty and staff to meet the school’s strategic goals. Learning Specialist

We are seeking a Learning Specialist to play a pivotal role in ensuring that all students, regardless of their learning styles and backgrounds, can access the support and resources they need to succeed. We have distinguished our program by embracing a philosophy of early intervention while leading with innovations in pedagogical approaches that meet a wide range of learners, engaging the teaching community in best practices. This position calls for an advocate to ensure philosophical and pedagogical alignment and help teachers design and support students' daily experiences to achieve their potential. Vital aspects of the role include observation, collaboration, assessment, communication, advising, and resource coordination. The Learning Specialist collaborates with teachers, advises and communicates with parents, and manages complex information over time. Middle School Math Teacher 2024-25

We are seeking an experienced Middle School math teacher who is compelled by the school's mission and committed to progressive math education. Mathematics at Friends is an inquiry-based, conceptual, hands-on program where students grapple with problems and make meaning of the mathematics for themselves. We strive to build the capacity in students to think mathematically, solve problems with confidence, and love mathematics. Teachers are engaged in regular collaboration, curriculum development, and pedagogical reflection. Candidates should have a strong math background and be invested in collaborating with colleagues and working closely with students. Lower School Associate Teacher 2024-25

We are looking for an Associate Teacher who is a responsible, flexible educator with relevant experience who wants to both contribute and learn. The ideal candidate resonates with the San Francisco Friends School mission, which provides an exemplary education in a community dedicated to peaceful problem-solving, service to others, simplicity, respect for the individual, and quiet reflection. The Associate Teacher works together with a lead classroom teacher and our specialist teachers to meet a wide range of academic and social developmental needs of children. For those newer to teaching our approach provides a hands-on opportunity to collaborate with an experienced lead teacher on all aspects of classroom life and gain valuable professional development in a supportive setting. In turn, the Associate Teacher/Lead pairing allows SFFS to provide a collaborative team teaching approach that allows for low student-teacher ratio, small-group instruction and individualized attention.
