Eleven members of our SFFS faculty recently returned from the National Association of Independent Schools' People of

Color Conference (PoCC) in San Antonio, TX, where they spent this past week with 7,800 fellow attendees from independent schools across the country, sharing opportunities for professional development and connection in a safe space. Among the speakers featured at the conference was educator and activist José Luis Vilson, author of This Is Not A Test: A New Narrative on Race, Class, and Education.

Head of School Pankti Sevak was also in San Antonio, attending the inaugural PoCC Heads' Summit: Reunited in Purpose.

We are looking forward to seeing our Friends back at Valencia Street and continuing our community work in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging at Friends.
