lower school head search completed!
THE NEXT HEAD OF THE SAN FRANCISCO FRIENDS LOWER SCHOOL:
We are delighted to announce that our own Amabelle Sze will be transitioning to a new role this summer when she becomes the next head of the SFFS Lower School. Amabelle has been part of the Friends community for 15 years, and we are so excited that she has committed to an interim appointment that will allow her to test just how much she misses the classroom. You can read Mike and Pankti's full letter to the community about Amabelle's new role—and her long-standing commitment to our school—by clicking the button below. We look forward to celebrating founding Lower School Head Jennifer and welcoming Amabelle as the next Lower School Head!
THE SEARCH FOR THE NEXT HEAD OF OUR LOWER SCHOOL:
In September, longtime Lower School Head Jennifer Arnest shared with the community that after 13 years at Friends, she will be seeking new adventures and opportunities in the 2022–2023 school year. We feel so lucky that we've had Jennifer's guidance and passion leading the Lower School for so long, and though we will miss her, we're excited for her to embark upon this new chapter. Jennifer's news means that we are beginning a search for the next Head of the SFFS Lower School, and we will be tracking our progress and updates on this front on this page. As we look to the future, we will be led by a search committee made up of faculty and staff members and clerked by Academic Dean Tracie Mastronicola P'30 & '30.
You can find the announcement of our Lower School Head search here.
