Procedures
- Application and Fees Please submit the San Francisco Friends School application with the application fee of $75 to the Admissions office by February 1, 2011. (If the application fee is of concern, please discuss with Yvette Bonaparte, Director of Admissions.)
- Teacher Recommendation Forms Sign and submit the Teacher Recommendation forms to two of your child’s current teachers. The teachers should send the form directly to San Francisco Friends School by February 1, 2011.
- Request for School Transcripts Sign and submit the form to the registrar or guidance counselor of your child’s current school. Records should be sent directly to the Admissions Office by February 1, 2011.
- Testing Please submit the student’s most recent standardized test results. Tests can include the ISEE, SSAT, CAT/6, CST, and STAR tests.
After the application is received, the admissions team will schedule:
- An Individual Parent Meeting in order to learn about your family and to share the mission of San Francisco Friends School.
- A full day Student Visit for your child in his/her current grade, which will include participation in classroom activities and a brief individual meeting with a teacher. We look forward to spending time with each student in our effort to best understand his or her unique characteristics and talents. Visits are scheduled during early February.
- If applying for Tuition Assistance, please refer to the Affording SFFS section on this website for deadlines. Tuition Assistance applications are available on request.
- Admissions decisions are mailed on March 17, 2011 in accordance with all San Francisco K-8 independent schools. Parents are expected to respond by March 24, 2011 at 10 a.m.
