Admissions
September 2010
Dear Parents,
Thank you for visiting our website and taking the time to learn about San Francisco Friends School, a coeducational independent school offering excellent academics in the Quaker tradition of learning. This fall, our school includes kindergarten through eighth grades, with two classes at each lower school grade level and three classes at each middle school level, approximately 420 students.
Beginning in October, we will be accepting applications for children entering kindergarten, fifth and sixth grades in the fall of 2011. We do not anticipate openings in any other grades for the 2011-2012 academic year because openings depend on attrition and we are unsure if or in which grade places will be available. You are welcome to still apply for other grades, and we will keep your application on file and process it once we know we have an opening. We do anticipate having 25 - 30 openings for Kindergarten.
A visit is the best way to become acquainted with the unique philosophy and programs that our students enjoy. Read through our website, and contact us on or after September 13th to schedule a tour to experience our educational community first-hand. In an effort to become more environmentally responsible, we will not be mailing admissions packets. Everything you will need to apply to our school will be available online on October 1.
We hope you will share our delight in the compelling missions we have outlined – a mission that encourages lifelong learning, reflection, service to others, and peaceful problem-solving. If you would like any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact me in the Admissions Office. I look forward to meeting your family throughout the admissions process.
Sincerely,
Yvette Bonaparte
