Admissions

September 2009

Dear Parents,

Thank you for visiting our website and taking the time to learn about San Francisco Friends School, a coeducational independent school offering excellent academics in the Quaker tradition of learning. Our school includes kindergarten through seventh grades, with two classes at each lower school grade level and three classes at each middle school level; we plan to add one class a year to create a K-8 school of approximately 400 students.

A visit is the best way to become acquainted with the unique philosophy and programs that our students enjoy. Read through our website, and contact us after September 9 to schedule a tour to experience our educational community first-hand. In an effort to become more environmentally responsible,  we will not be mailing admissions packets. Everything you need to apply to our school is available online.

We are accepting applications for Kindergarten, 4th - 8th  grades. We anticipate having 16-20 openings in the fall 2010 Kindergarten class. We do not anticipate having any openings in 1st - 3rd grades for the fall of 2010.

We hope you will share our delight in the compelling missions we have outlined – a mission that encourages lifelong learning, reflection, service to others, and peaceful problem-solving. If you would like any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact me in the Admissions Office. I look forward to meeting your family throughout the admissions process.

Sincerely,

Yvette Bonaparte
